Impressions are when I feel the anger of the Sun or I see the pine trees talking to the skies. Impressions are the cities turned dust bins or a lonely dog scared by stone pelting. Everything that happens round creates an impression in our minds which find expression in some way or the other. The only difference is what the narrator adds to it the way he felt. When you read the pages, just don't read but chew, digest and savour the capturings. You would find predictions in Namo's portrait about the world opening doors and yes it happened. Same way if you start connecting yourself to mother nature, you would feel that the tress talk, the flowers smile and the rain is a magical happening which drenches you deep in emotions.
AUTHOR INFORMATION
Poetry is my second love, first being my life. My writings are an honest expressions of my mind, what I perceive about a situation or a person. Having lived in Shimla amongst flowers and butterflies, my love for nature is deep rooted and visible in my poems. Over the years I developed the very special skill of writing 'Pen Portraits' which reflects the name of the person by reading the first letters of the poem vertically down. I have translated Bible into poetry, simple rhyming words, understandable to kids, which has been felicitated by The Prince of Wales. I was born at Lahore in pre-independence India and have seen the country growing from scratch to space. In many parts of the national Capital there was no electricity supply and the only means of transport were 'Tram' and 'Tonga'. The life we live fills us with lot many memories and experiences which sometimes turns people into writers. May be I am one of those who transfer thoughts on paper. I write poetry both in English and Hindi and it is my first venture to let myself know if I am acceptable to literary minds and people at large. I am now 74 years and working as an Assistant Professor with a Technical College in Panipat, the city of weavers. I want to dedicate this book to my deceased wife VANDANA MALHOTRA, who left for her heavenly abode around 26 years ago. She had a great desire that I should publish my works for the people to know about it.
