Dr. Srutimala Duara is a Writer, Academician and a Media person.She has published novels, collections of short stories, and poetry books in English. She is an Associate Professor in the department of English, Handique Girls' College, Guwahati. She was a presenter in Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati for 22 years. Had acted in TV serials, stage plays and radio dramas. She was awarded the "Naari Shakti Award" in April 2015, "Woman of the Year 2016" by International Human Rights Council (Assam Chapter) in March 2016, and Women achievers' Award in appreciation of contribution to literature in January 2019.
