Lallan Singh (Vyas) was born in a small village called Kharahatar in Buxar District of Bihar in a yadav family. He started getting known as a brilliant and meritorious student. Twice he got government recognition and scholarship for his extraordinary academic achievements. He also got numerous awards and recognitions in writing and singing of devotional folk songs and poems. He has a Bachelor's degree from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.
